Top 10 User-Rated Movies of 2011
Here’s our list of our top 10 movies for 2011, as rated by users of the IMDb. These rankings were not based upon critical assessments or box-office performance but the actual ratings by more than 100 million unique monthly users of IMDb.com.
Our users say: “Honest and at times tough to watch but never purposefully harsh or depressing. In fact, it is generally positive but in a way that isn’t all sunshine and unicorns. It is smart, hilarious, and even touching while all the time remaining respectful of the audience’s ability to relate to difficult circumstances without artificial emotional fishing.” ”

The 69th annual Golden Globe nominations for best actor in a comedy or musical film have been announced in Beverly Hills, Calif., by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The category’s nominees announced Thursday morning include: Jean Dujardin, “The Artist”; Brendan Gleeson, “The Guard”; Joseph Gordon-Levitt, “50/50”; Ryan Gosling, “Crazy, Stupid, Love”; Owen Wilson,”“Midnight in Paris.” The Golden Globes will be presented Jan. 15 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, televised live by NBC and hosted by Ricky Gervais.
